Brunei Win Gold And Bronze Medals At Arafura Games

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Darussalam w on its first gold medal in the 1,500m men track and field event at the Arafura Games in Darwin on Monday, according to a news release from the Brunei contingent.

The gold medal was won by Ak Hafiy Tajuddin bin Pg Rositi with a new personal best time of four minutes 21.32 seconds. Brunei Darussalam also captured two bronze medals through Florence Loh in the women U-18 high jump event with a height of 1.30m and the women U-19 100m with a time of 13.74seconds. In the Para Athletics Games, Hirdan Hj Abd Kadir won a bronze medal in the category F55 wheelchair shot put men with a throw 7.52m. In swimming at Casuarina Pool, Brunei Darussalam added another bronze medal through Amnahliyani Hj Hussin in the girls' U-17, 100m breaststroke
